16th January 2018 Windsurfing: El Medano, Tenerife Wind Direction: NE Wind Stength: F6 & F7 Surf / Sea State: choppy some swells Air Temperature: 21 Sea Temperature: 19.9 Weather: sun Max Speed: Distance Covered: Waited until late afternoon for wind to ease and tide to drop hoping to get over to harbour wall, but still way too windy for 4.2m so stayed in South Bay. Wind was squally so either maxed or overpowered on 4.2m to start with. Wind eased after 30mins then OK but sea still choppy. Guess it needs several days of wind to clean sea up and build steady wind. Enjoyed it once wind was manageable and tried riding close to shore but waves I chose were rubbish and running into each other. |
